Wedding Party

We waited until we were about a year out to ask our wedding party.  After spending so much time on the Wedding Party board, this is definitely something I would advocate, considering the number of people who ask too early and then regret it.
I don't think that asking needs to be a production, but I do think that it's a nice idea to try to make it special for your Wedding Party.  Some of my friends I just asked casually, and I kind of regret that now.  I wish I'd taken them for coffee or out to lunch instead.

We're having an uneven, mixed gender wedding party that's loaded up with family.  It's big because we just had too many people that we couldn't dream of excluding.  No regrets; it's exactly how we want it.
