Children's Activity Book

There won't be many children at our wedding.  As much as we love children, it's not how we imagine our wedding, plus our guest list can't handle that many additions.  However, we'll obviously have the child attendants.  As well, there are some guests with very young children who will be traveling quite a distance to be at the wedding, so they'll be allowed to bring their children if they wish, since arranging for childcare would probably be very difficult.

For those children, I'm making activity books.  There will be two - one for really young children and one for older children.  Each booklet will have 20 pages (5 pieces of paper) and I've made almost all of the activities myself.  I've found that the most important thing when making a Children's Activity Book is to be creative!  There are plenty of templates out there, but come up with some ideas that aren't in those books and really make them your own.

Eventually I'll put up a template of my own.  For now, here are some of the activities I've come up with.  Hopefully they'll give you some ideas of your own!

  • Find the two that are identical
  • Unscramble the wedding words
  • Finish the bridesmaid's dress
  • Plenty of pictures for colouring
  • ...and the story of the wedding in a style that's easy for kids to understand.
